Terms of service

JobOS collects job listings that employers have published publicly, ranks them against a profile you fill in, and helps you keep track of what you have applied for. It is a way of finding work that is already advertised elsewhere. It is not a recruitment agency, it does not represent you to employers, and it plays no part in any hiring decision.

You need an account to use most of the product. Keep your password to yourself, and give us accurate information: a profile describing someone other than you will simply produce bad matches.

One person, one account. You must be old enough to work lawfully in your country to use this.

Listings are gathered automatically from other people's sites. We work hard to keep them accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee that a role is still open, that its salary or deadline is stated correctly, or that the employer is who they say they are. The employer's own posting is the authority in every case, which is why we link to it.

Match scores are our own estimate of fit, calculated from your profile and the wording of the listing. They are a way of ordering a long list. They are not advice, and they are not a prediction that you will be hired.

Nothing here is a promise that you will find work.

Please do not scrape the site, resell its content, attempt to break into other people's accounts, or use it to send anyone unsolicited messages. We may suspend an account that does these things.

Applications happen on the employer's own site, under their terms, not ours. We are not a party to anything that follows, including interviews, offers, contracts or pay.

You can stop using JobOS whenever you like and ask us to delete your account, which we will do in full. We may close an account that is being used to harm the service or other people.

If these terms change in a way that materially affects you, we will say so in the product rather than quietly editing this page. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
