Privacy policy

JobOS reads job listings that employers have already published in public, and matches them against what you tell us you are looking for. We do not ask for a CV, we do not pass your details to employers, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone. When you apply for a role you leave JobOS and apply on the employer's own site, exactly as you would if you had found the listing yourself.

Your account. Your email address, and either a hashed password or, if you sign in with Google, the name, email address and profile picture Google gives us. A hashed password cannot be read back, including by us.

Your profile. Your name, and whatever else you choose to fill in: location, current job title, years of experience, education, and skills. All of it is optional except your name, and all of it exists for one purpose, which is to score job listings against you.

Your preferences. The roles, industries, locations, seniority and contract types you are looking for, whether you are open to remote work, and whether you want roles outside Indonesia. This is what decides which jobs you are shown.

What you do here. The roles you save, the ones you pass on, and anything you add to your application tracker along with any notes you write on it. We keep these so the product can stop showing you work you have already turned down, and so your tracker is still there tomorrow.

We do not sell or rent your data. We do not share it with employers, recruiters or advertisers. No employer pays to appear in your results, and no ranking here can be bought. We do not upload a CV on your behalf, because we never ask you for one.

Running the product means a small number of companies necessarily handle data on our behalf: Vercel hosts the site, Neon hosts the database, and Google handles sign-in if you choose that option. Each sees only what it needs to do its job. Nobody else receives your data.

Listings come from public job boards and company career pages. We link back to the original in every case, and we do not write job adverts ourselves. If you are an employer and want a listing removed from JobOS, write to us and we will remove it.

You can edit or clear your profile and preferences at any time from the profile page, and remove saved roles or tracked applications whenever you like.

If you want your account deleted, write to us and we will delete it along with everything attached to it: profile, preferences, saved roles, dismissals and tracker. Deletion is deletion, not deactivation.
